Coverage Engineering
To assist its customers in solving their problem of indoor and outdoor coverage, SELECOM has simulation software radio coverage:
SELECOM and puts all its know-how and experience to enable customers and resellers to maximize the best possible engineering to get the best result with the necessary links between the budget and the need for compromise.

Coverage calculation indoor and in-building
iBwave® Design®, published by the Canadian company iBwave®, which is a software suite to carry out simulations of radio coverage in indoor environment (buildings, shopping centers, vessels, platforms offshore, etc ...).
From plans in pdf or dwg, and the layer of the materials of walls, doors, partitions, windows, etc ... the software calculates the theoretical radio coverage taking into account all technical parameters:
-
Absorbing material (glass, metal, plaster, etc ...) as a function of frequency
-
Receiving power, emission
-
Traffic (Erlang)
This solution can be used for any type of coverage:
-
Mobile Communications : GSM, UMTS, LTE, 2G, 3G, 4G, en 700 / 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 MHz
-
Critical Communications : TETRA, TETRAPOL, INPT, GSM-R, DMR, PMR, en 400 / 700 MHz

Coverage Calculation outdoor
Radio Mobile®, freeware Roger Bent VE2DBE allows for studies of radio coverage outside, with maps projectable results API Google® Earth®.
Associated with downloadable GPS positioning and geographic altimétire cards, software radio can be inferred from known or assumptions to maximize covers:
-
Posiitonnement the transmitter or repeater
-
Height and radiation pattern of the antenna
-
Frequencies involved
Once the engineering is completed, the result optimizes the placement of transmission or re-transmission sites and have made a workable card Google® Earth®.
This solution is available for any type of coverage:
-
Mobile Communications : GSM, UMTS, LTE, 2G, 3G, 4G, en 700 / 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 MHz
-
Critical Communications : TETRA, TETRAPOL, INPT, GSM-R, DMR, PMR, en 400 / 700 MHz
